Phaedron is currently developing The Empathy Project. If you are interested in collaborating, or just wish to give feedback on the idea, please be in touch. We are especially interested to hear from you if you would like to be one of the people featured in an episode.
The Empathy Project is a documentary webseries in which decent people you’ve never heard of introduce themselves, tell you what they are afraid of, and what excites them.
Each episode is a mini documentary, 5-10 minutes long, profiling an individual. Each episode starts with basic biographical stuff: the person telling us their name, age, where they are from, what they do, etc. They are interviewed in their room, or office, or some place that has significance to them. This is intercut with photos and other footage of them doing what it is they are talking about. Each episode ends with the person answering 5 questions:
- What are you scared of?
- What excites you?
- What would make the world better?
- What question would you most like to know the answer to?
- What would you most like everyone else to know?
